The Warren Group reported today that notices of default continued to rise in Massachusetts in July. This is the 18th straight month in a row that foreclosure notices topped the same month the year prior.

What’s more is that the report says that more of these notices are making it to auction. If you’ve read this blog at all you know what that means: more REO. The big banks don’t get it yet, they’re not taking what the auctions are bringing and they’re listing the property with local brokers - after about 30 days prices start to drop, 60 days the REO manager is getting nervous, 90 days and you can come in and steal the property.
